The best-known music archive in the world on its way to the general public.
- Bertelsmann SE & Co. KGaA
The Archivio Storico Ricordi in Milan, Italy, is one of the world’s most important music collections. The archive encompasses nearly 8,000 works of sheet music, including valuable original handwritten copies by Giuseppe Verdi und Giacomo Puccini, as well as 10,000 librettos, 15,000 letters, 6,000 historical photographs, and much more. Stan Hema accompanied this Cathedral of Music on its journey into the public spotlight. We designed an extensive coffee-table book in three languages and managed the communication for the exhibition The Business of Opera in Berlin, Gütersloh and Milan.
